All entries published on Mirror are mintable as Writing NFTs by default. After clicking “Sign and Publish,” you will be prompted for a signature in your Ethereum wallet. Once you click confirm, your entry will be published and can be collected by anyone with an Ethereum wallet.
Creators have the option to deploy Writing NFTs on a number of Layer 2 blockchain networks (check out this support article for a current list). Collectors will need ETH on the applicable network (or MATIC on Polygon) in order to pay gas to collect. For limited-supply Writing NFTs, once the supply runs out, anyone can purchase one of the NFTs on a secondary marketplace.
We support minting only one NFT per wallet address in order to prevent whales and bots from collecting the entire supply.
Mirror currently charges collectors who mint a Writing NFT a flat platform fee of 0.00069 ETH (or 1 MATIC on Polygon) per mint, and distributes a portion of those fees as protocol rewards.
