Minting
Mirror charges a small platform fee when collectors mint NFTs. A portion of that fee is shared with the Mirror community via our Protocol Rewards. You can read more about Protocol Rewards here.
Minting Writing NFTs
Mirror currently charges collectors who mint a Writing NFT a flat platform fee of 0.00069 ETH per mint on supported layer 2 blockchains that use ETH as their native token, and 1 MATIC on Polygon.
Minting Subscribe to Mint NFTs
Mirror currently charges collectors who mint a Subscribe to Mint NFT a flat platform fee of 0.00069 ETH per mint on Ethereum and supported layer 2 blockchains that use ETH as their native token, and 1 MATIC on Polygon. Creators of Subscribe to Mint NFTs currently do not pay any platform fees in connection with the minting of their Subscribe to Mint NFTs, and keep all minting proceeds other than the platform fees and the gas costs.
Platform Fee Example
If a creator prices a Subscribe to Mint NFT edition at 0.01 ETH per NFT, the total cost to the collector for minting one of those Subscribe to Mint NFTs is 0.01069 ETH plus gas, and the creator keeps the entire NFT price of 0.01 ETH. If the collector mints two of that NFT, the total cost to the collector is 0.02138 ETH plus gas, and the creator keeps 0.02 ETH.
Secondary Market Sales
Mirror currently charges collectors who purchase an NFT on a third-party secondary market through Mirror a fee equal to 0.00069 ETH on Ethereum mainnet and on supported layer 2s (or 1 MATIC on Polygon) plus 2.5% of the purchase price of the NFT.
Historical Edition Sales and Crowdfund Contributions
Mirror's protocol takes a 2.5% fee on historical Edition sales and crowdfund contributions.
Third-Party Fees
When you mint an NFT deployed via a third party’s smart contract on Mirror, you may be charged a fee by that smart contract.
